New Baby Alexis!

Mommy and daddy were bummed that Mommy's cervix hadn't done anything. Then mommy started having lots of contractions at 10:00 pm and couldn't sleep. In the morning at Dr. Granpda's clinic, and Grandpa said that Mommy was in Labor! Hurray! So mommy and daddy followed the speed limit to Mountainview Hospital where Alexis was born. Mommy was admitted at 9:15, got a much desired epidural at 12:30, and was fully dilated by about 2:15 or earlier. Mommy waited a while to take a break and 'labor down' (which prepares mommy for the extra hard work and prevents tearing). Mommy ended her break at about 2:45 . After 45 minutes, 18 contractions, and 60 pushes (OCD Daddy counted the graph after Alexis was born), mommy successfuly pushed the baby out. So there you have it!
